In a re rolling or reheating furnace, flue gases exit at temperatures between 800°C and 1,000°C. However, without a recuperator, this heat escapes completely through the exhaust stack wasted energy that directly increases your fuel bill.
As a result, the furnace reaches higher flame temperatures faster, improves soaking quality, and consumes significantly less fuel per tonne of steel processed. Furthermore, preheating combustion air to 800°C can reduce specific fuel consumption by 30–45%, depending on furnace design and operating temperature.
